Velatura (pronounced ve-luh-TOO-rah) is a captivating traditional painting technique that adds a layer of depth and ethereal beauty to artwork. Imagine it as a thin, semi-transparent veil of color delicately placed over a dry, opaque layer of paint.
Definition of Verse:
Verse is a type of poetry composition!
THE MEANING BEHIND VELATURA AND VERSE:
In my work, I align myself with taking beautiful, unique, artistic work that captures a story. My work has depth and beauty in it and I don't just want to capture your day- I want my work to be something you cherish and love years down the road... something you can show your kids and tell the story of your big wedding day.
In the end, I want my business name to be apart of why my business is so special and unique- something never seen or used before.

I am the main photographer, website designer, photo editor, media manager, and all around business owner of Velatura and Verse.
I would be the person you would be in contact with throughout everything whether that's via email, phone call, text message, but also in person, capturing your engagement session, your wedding, and/or your special event.
I strive to have a poetic storytelling style, making each and every person and couple I work with happy, comfortable, and not just "capture your day" but capture your story.

Where I'm from!
My hometown is West Irondequoit in Rochester, NY! I am in the process of moving to Germantown, MD at the end of 2026 with my boyfriend and our 2 cats! I also have close family in Charleston, SC so I'm always happy to travel down there for sessions and events!
My home life!
I have a dog named Leia (yes like the Princess). She's a full bred blue tick beagle and loves pets and cuddles! I also have my own kitten named Eevie! She's the sweetest bundle of joy (and menace).
I'm a plant mom and have a love for anything the color green. My favorite drink is a chai latte with oat milk from Starbucks. My favorite pastime activities are going for walks, reading mystery novels, listening to music, and playing games on my switch. I also love going to concerts when I can and have an addiction to tattoos and Mexican food.
About my passion for photography!
I am 22 years old and have been a professional photographer for 4 years now, but a full-time photographer for about a year and a half! I started my business for my love and passion for photography. While I also think it's great that I turned something I love into my occupation, my original reason for my first website was to build a portfolio for school purposes. Crazy how much has changed since then!
About my loved ones!
I have some amazing friends all over the US, but all my family is originally from NY! I have an amazing supportive mom and my brother Connor!
I have an amazing boyfriend named Tom! He's 23 and lives in Maryland ! We are currently long distance because of his move to Maryland for work, but we'll be moving in at the end of 2026 in Maryland! He's super smart and hardworking and I'm so proud of him! I truly cannot express how lucky I am to have him in my life.
